apoptosis - a form of programmed cell death that occurs in multicellular organisms that cannot stop once it has begun … it is a highly regulated process that can be initiated through one of two pathways. In the intrinsic pathway the cell kills itself because it senses cell stress, while in the extrinsic pathway the cell kills itself because of signals from other cells.

The ONE and the MANY
When we have ONE problem and MANY consequences, it can be very confusing to try to bring them all together to understand. But that is our quest.
Is the rising tide of homelessness across the globe a problem or a consequence ... a disease or a symptom. Answering this initial question properly can make all the difference in what follows.
This is just another example of why a comprehensive and coherent ... organic ... paradigm drawn from Nature is vital to survival ... not to mention the prosperity which many groups claim to promote.
